Fortune Parts Industry Public Company Limited (the "Company"), as a comprehensive manufacturer and service provider for the design of automotive plastic parts, recognizes that safety, the working environment, and the good health of all stakeholders are fundamental human rights and essential to sustainable business operations. Therefore, the Company effectively manages Safety, Occupational Health, and the control of negative environmental impacts to create and maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly working condition. The ultimate goal is to achieve Zero Harm (preventing accidents and work-related illnesses) , alongside a long-term commitment towards Net Zero Emissions. These principles are integrated as part of the organizational culture and business processes throughout the value chain. All operations are based on an efficient organizational risk management system founded on Non-discrimination, Transparency, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement in accordance with international standards, including ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, the Company strictly complies with all relevant laws and regulations. The Board of Directors and senior management place importance on and consider it their direct responsibility to promote and support the achievement of these goals. Therefore, the Company announces the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy to be used as a guideline for collective practice, as follows:
1. Systematic Management of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (System)
The Company continuously develops the management system for safety, occupational health, and the working environment. This focuses on systematic hazard identification, risk assessment, and control.
- The Company regularly prepares plans and conducts drills for various emergency response scenarios to manage situations effectively.
- The Company establishes a policy and an Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Committee (OHS&E Committee) to oversee, monitor, and report results to the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer.
- The Company provides adequate and appropriate resources to support health and safety operations in the workplace, aligning with organizational goals.
- The Company complies with requirements, laws, standards, and international agreements, such as ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2018, and the GHG Protocol.
- The Company maintains a Risk Register and a monitoring system (Risk Assessment & Control) to control and prevent related risks.
- The Company sets Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for health, safety, occupational health, and the working environment, including Injury Rate (IR), Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR), and Fatality in operations. These cover both employees and subcontractors, with transparent reporting of results.
- The Company establishes a Safety Patrol team and the CCCF (Completely Check Completely Find-Out) system for accident surveillance and prevention.
- The Company continuously audits and assesses the management system to improve its efficiency and suitability in response to changes.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
The Company promotes participation in safety, occupational health, health, and environmental matters with all stakeholder groups, including employees, business partners, customers, communities, and government agencies. This also includes providing continuous feedback and suggestions to lead to the development of transparent working systems, risk reduction, and the building of mutual trust between the organization and its stakeholders.
- The Company provides opportunities for employees at all levels and relevant stakeholders to participate in the development, inspection, and suggestion of safety policies and measures.
- The Company provides a Feedback / Whistleblower system to report unsafe conditions or policy violations.
- The Company listens to the opinions of all stakeholder groups, including employees, business partners, customers, and communities, to enhance understanding and jointly mitigate risks.
- The Company supports transparent, direct, and accessible communication for all groups.
3. Standard & Compliance
The Company is committed to strictly complying with, or exceeding, all relevant laws, regulations, and other requirements regarding safety, occupational health, health, and the environment. Furthermore, operational results are reviewed to continuously improve the management system's effectiveness.
- The Company complies with relevant laws and requirements concerning labor, safety, and the environment in all areas of operation.
- The Company reviews and updates policies/management systems at least once a year, or when there are changes in new laws, standards, and requirements.
- The Company conducts both internal and external monitoring and Audit processes to assess compliance and identify improvement guidelines.
4. Sustainable Organizational Culture (Culture)
The Company is committed to creating an organizational culture where all employees are aware of the importance of safety, occupational health, health, and the environment. This is achieved through regular training, communication, and campaign activities. It involves instilling positive attitudes and behaviors to reinforce shared responsibility among all parties, serving as a key foundation for driving the organization towards sustainability.
- The Company raises awareness among all levels of employees through skill refreshment training and various campaign activities.
- The Company promotes continuous compliance with safety, occupational health, health, and environmental measures as part of the organizational culture.
- The Company fosters participation and awareness regarding safety and occupational health through various activities, including Hazard Hunt Activities (CCCF), Safety Patrol Activities, and education on the prevention and management of epidemic diseases (Global Health), such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. This also includes raising awareness of Climate Change to help reduce accidents and create a good working environment.
- The Company instills the value of responsibility and collaboration for the safety of employees and stakeholders.
5 Pollution Management
The Company recognizes the importance of controlling and preventing pollution that may result from business operations. Therefore, it has developed an environmental management system compliant with international standards to control pollutant emissions, reduce resource wastage, and manage waste responsibly. This approach not only helps minimize impacts on the community and the environment but also supports sustainable and environmentally friendly operations in the long term.
- The Company implements the Environmental Management System (EMS) to control and prevent pollution, along with seeking international standard certification.
- The Company controls and monitors air, water, and soil pollution emissions, as well as the management of hazardous waste as required by law.
- The Company reduces impacts on the community and the environment through the responsible management of water, soil, and air pollution, and the efficient use of resources.
6 Continuous Improvement
The Company adheres to the principle of continuous development and improvement. It uses data from monitoring, performance evaluation, and lessons learned from accidents or near-miss incidents as tools to enhance safety and environmental performance. It also promotes the physical and mental health of employees to support quality and sustainable work.
- The Company regularly monitors and evaluates health, safety, and environmental performance.
- The Company collects and analyzes data on accidents, adverse incidents, and near-miss incidents to identify preventative improvement guidelines.
- The Company promotes Work-Life Balance and employee assistance programs in various aspects to support the physical and mental health care of employees.
- The Company improves measures and management systems based on technology, best practices, and stakeholder expectations.
Scope of Application
This policy applies to operations in all areas of the Company. It covers personnel at all levels, from the Board of Directors, management, and employees, to customers, business partners, subcontractors, and other external parties working under the Company's control, including surrounding communities. The Company expects everyone and all relevant parties to demonstrate an equivalent level of commitment to occupational health and safety. The Company will review this policy at least once a year or when there are significant changes to ensure it remains suitable and up-to-date.
